Streaming service KICK has introduced KICK Ads, a dedicated advertising platform for its ecosystem. The launch marks the first monetization expansion for the 2022-founded service since its initial market entry.
Ryan Webb, head of growth and monetization, confirmed that the company intentionally postponed ad integration to prioritize audience retention and platform stability. To build the new division, KICK recruited specialists from Google, Spotify, Omnicom and Seven Network.
Viewer Experience and Streamer Controls
Ad delivery will vary according to viewer location, content category, channel and broadcast language. Breaks will feature variable lengths with a visible countdown timer and will be non-skippable during the initial phase. Channels with active subscriptions remain exempt from advertisements, and broadcast clips will continue to play without commercial interruptions. Content creators can pause scheduled ad breaks through the dashboard to preserve critical streaming segments. The platform currently reports over 100 million active users, with viewers logging 1.5 billion hours across the service during the second quarter of 2026. Audience demographics show that 81.7 percent of users fall within the 18 to 34 age range.
