GEG Q2 2026 Revenue Falls 2% Despite Record Macau Tourism

Francis Lui Yiu Tung, chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group, announced the company's financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The report covers operations at Galaxy Macau through June 30.

Group net revenue decreased by 2% year-on-year to HK$11.8bn (US$1.5bn). Adjusted EBITDA fell 5% to HK$3.4bn (US$433.3m). For the first half of the year, total revenue reached HK$24.2bn (US$3.08bn), representing a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2025. First-half EBITDA grew 1% to HK$7bn (US$892.1m).

Tourism and Gaming Activity

Macau recorded 9.7 million visitors in Q2, a 4% rise year-on-year. The territory reached the cumulative 20 million visitor mark on June 20, eighteen days earlier than the previous year. A single-day record of 248,000 arrivals occurred on May 2 during the Labour Day Golden Week.

Macau's Gross Gaming Revenue remained flat year-on-year at HK$59.2bn in Q2. The company attributed fluctuations to the FIFA World Cup, which began on June 11. The tournament diverted customer attention toward sports betting. Revenue showed recovery toward the end of the event and continued into August. July gross gaming revenue declined 8.4% year-on-year but increased compared to June figures.

Adjusted EBITDA for the last twelve months totaled HK$14.6bn (US$1.86bn), marking a 12% year-on-year increase.
